We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills. The cashier will scan the customer's selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers products, promotions, or item location. You will also respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace.

To succeed as a cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Process Customer Orders: Accurately take and input orders into the system.
  • Handle Cash and Card Transactions: Process payments through cash, credit cards, or other payment methods.
  • Issue Receipts and Change: Ensure that customers receive correct change and receipts for their purchases.
  • Maintain Cash Register Balance: Reconcile the register's total cash at the end of each shift.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, answering questions about the menu or services.
  • Ensure Cleanliness of the Counter Area: Keep the work area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Monitor Inventory of Cashier Supplies: Ensure that receipts, bags, and other needed materials are stocked.
  • Handle Customer Complaints: Address customer concerns politely and escalate any issues as necessary.
  • Assist in Food Packaging: Help the team in bagging or packaging food and beverage items for takeaway orders.
  • Follow Food Safety Guidelines: Ensure compliance with hygiene standards when handling food and drink items.
  • Operate POS System: Use the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and with accuracy.
  • Promote Sales and Specials: Inform customers of ongoing promotions or specials to encourage additional purchases.
  • Assist with Inventory Counts: Help in counting stock and supplies during inventory audits or end-of-day counts.
  • Coordinate with Kitchen Staff: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of orders.
  • Upsell Items: Suggest add-ons, desserts, or beverages to enhance the customer's order and increase sales.
  • Follow Company Policies: Adhere to the company's operational procedures, cash handling policies, and safety standards.
  • Provide Refunds and Exchanges: Process returns, refunds, or exchanges in compliance with company policies.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Attend staff meetings or training sessions to stay updated on company procedures.
  • Ensure Accuracy of Orders: Double-check all orders for accuracy before completing transactions to prevent mistakes.
  • Assist in Closing Procedures: Help with the closing routine, including cleaning the area, reconciling the till, and securing the register.

Cashier Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service or cashier experience.
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
