Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily pastry production: breads, cakes, tarts, cookies, viennoiseries, desserts, and plated sweets
  • Prepare, portion, mix, and bake pastry items per recipe and quality standards
  • Decorate, finish, and plate desserts under supervision
  • Monitor pastry station mise en place (preparations, ingredient readiness, cleanliness)
  • Ensure freshness and quality control: check doneness, temperature, texture
  • Clean and maintain pastry workstations, equipment, tools
  • Help with inventory control of pastry ingredients (sugar, flour, dairy, chocolate, etc.)
  • Collaborate with kitchen and dessert teams to coordinate service demands
  • Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols
  • Assist in special dessert orders or seasonal menu items as needed
  • May rotate through bakery / cold station / dessert station when needed
  • Accept feedback, learn new techniques, and improve continuously

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • At least 1–2 years' experience in pastry, bakery, or dessert production
  • Vocational / Diploma / Degree in Baking & Pastry, Culinary Arts, or related field is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and pastry fundamentals
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately, measure ingredients, maintain consistency
  • Creative sense for dessert presentation / plating
  • Good speed, time management, ability to work under pressure
  • Team player, responsive to direction, willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible schedule: able to work early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays as required
  • Knowledge of food safety (HACCP, local regulations)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php20,000.00 per month
