JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior IT Auditor is responsible in conducting IT assurance and advisory services and providing recommendations to improve effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes. This role will manage complex processes with higher risks. The role covers IT audit of Insular Life and Insular Health Care.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

  • Internal Audit Function Development and Management

  • Manage and execute audit engagements ensuring its effective and efficient completion based on internal audit standards

  • Support the IT Audit Team Lead in audit engagements
  • Perform periodic Continuous Audit tests on assigned areas
  • Manage and execute advisory services based on Audit Methodologies and provide valuable insights and recommendations to the auditee
  • Conduct ongoing and periodic assessments as assigned

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management

  • Develop productive relationships with stakeholders reflecting the value-added role of internal audit and ensuring positive experience of stakeholders.

  • Present the engagement conclusion to auditees ensuring clarity of message and effectively influence acceptance of risk, agreement on management action and commitment date to resolve finding.
  • Conducts quarterly business monitoring with assigned business units or stakeholders to provide timely assessment of the changes in risks and control environment of audit entity or universe.
  • Discusses with auditees results of continuous audit activities especially exceptions noted and ensure that risks are clearly communicated and explained to auditees, aiming to come to an agreement on the management actions to address exceptions noted.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE:

  • Degree in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance, or IT
  • Having the following certifications is an advantage: CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA and other related certifications
  • At least 3 years' experience in IT and/or information security audit and at least 1 year experience as a Supervisor/ Senior IT Auditor or similar role is required.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems and Information security practices, with knowledge in cloud-based systems and artificial intelligence as an advantage
  • Familiarity with international standards and benchmarks in IT and IS (e.g., COBIT, CIS, NIST, ISO, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of IT auditing procedures and practices, and laws and regulations
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exhibits professional courage, integrity, trustworthiness, ethical behavior, and a collaborative attitude
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environments
  • Willing to learn and improve oneself and can quickly adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Must be willing to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa (Hybrid setup)
