SU - CNC Programmer

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This position requires hands-on experience with CNC lathes and the ability to write G-code and M-code programs manually (long-hand). The ideal candidate will have experience working with both Fanuc and Okuma Windows-based controls, and will be capable of creating efficient and accurate CNC programs without the aid of automated CAM systems.

 Qualifications

Minimum of 3–5 years of CNC programming experience.Strong understanding of G-code and M-code syntax.Hands-on experience with both Fanuc and Okuma CNC controls.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Experience programming without the use of CAD/CAM software (manual long-hand programming required).

Responsibilities

Guide financial firms in adopting and implementing AI tools.Communicate AI concepts clearly to non-technical executive audiences.Provide practical support with tools like ChatGPT, prompt engineering, and workflow design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with SolidWorks for reading and understanding drawings (no design work required).Previous experience supporting both lathe and mill-turn CNC machines.Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality control standards.

$ 1,500 - $ 2,900 per month, paid in USD depending on experience.

Details

Independent contractor agreement paid 2x monthly.Client has a desire for long-term commitment.
