Responsibilities Write, test and approve programs for each door and frame set as per manufacturing schedules and production requirements. Develop knowledge of compliance standards and ensure products adhere to required certification levels. Monitor the upcoming work schedule with input from Production Manager and Planner to ensure programs are complete in advance of machining dates. Accurately measure and test new ironmongery programming to ensure products meet manufacturers’ instructions. Plan programming ahead of production to enable smooth machining even when extraneous circumstances arise. Save all programs for frames and doors to relevant folders for clear access by CNC operatives. Act as a quality checkpoint to ensure compliance with manufacturing schedules and project handovers. Develop knowledge of certification and raise compliance queries with the relevant PM/Technical team. When Calwin programming is launched into standard procedure, ensure all programs are checked and tested prior to use. Maintain ironmongery sample boxes in an orderly manner for project-specific products to be readily available for machinists. Collaborate with the programming contingency operative to arrange coverage during periods of absence or increased workload. Assist the Project Management team with admin tasks during available time, prioritising programming progress. Qualifications Job-specific responsibilities include writing, checking and testing programs to ensure batches are complete and accurate. Ability to monitor schedules and coordinate with Production Manager and Planner to ensure timely preparation of programs. Experience measuring and testing ironmongery programming and ensuring compliance with manufacturer instructions. Experience programming ahead of production planning to support on-time machining. Experience organizing and storing CNC programs in accessible locations. Familiarity with certification processes and ability to raise queries with the appropriate teams. Experience with Calwin programming development and standard procedures. Experience maintaining organized sample boxes and supporting machinists with materials. Ability to work with a programming contingency plan and support administrative tasks when possible.
