Job DescriptionSenior Software Engineer U)Purpose of the RoleResponsible for working within development and engineering teams to automate software delivery and infrastructure deployments, enable engineering best practices, and facilitate more frequent, higher-quality code deployments.

Works on moderate to complex tasks supporting one or more projects, either as part of a team or independently on small projects. Main ResponsibilitiesRespond to and troubleshoot incidents, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime. Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility.

Support and guide development teams on infrastructure and deployment best practices. Maintain issue documentation and support system health. Manage infrastructure upgrades and patches.

Work effectively within frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or SDLC.Participate in sprint and project planning, providing estimates as needed. Integrate test automation frameworks. Document requirements, specifications, and solutions.

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation. Ensure reliable and efficient code delivery with development teams. Maintain and improve infrastructure scalability, security, and efficiency.

Implement monitoring and logging solutions for application and infrastructure health. Apply security best practices in development and deployment. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Identify automation opportunities and develop scripts or tools. Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance automation. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of programming/scripting experience.

Experience with applications, systems, or IT operations. Experience with ServiceNow for issue/Release management. Experience with automation tools like Jenkins.

Experience with version control systems such as Git. LanguagesEffective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Java, Python, Perl, Bash, and Ruby.

Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesFlexibility to work shifts, including off-hours and weekends. Comfort with incremental code, testing, and deployment. Linux and Windows knowledge.

Networking knowledge: firewalls, VPNs, proxies, load balancers. Experience in agile environments. Proficiency in two or more programming languages.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Teamwork and collaboration skills. Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies.

Effective communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects. Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
