Get to Know the Role

Oversee Branch Cash Position

As a bank cashier, it is your responsibility to ensure that the bank's cash position is well equipped to service regular withdrawals. With the regular movement of funds, it is crucial that the cashier provides insight and control over the cash supply of the branch. You will be authorized to monitor teller and vault balances, to maintain secure access to those funds.

Compliance with Bank Policies and Security Procedures

It is essential that bank cashier be knowledgeable with and skilled at implementing bank security policies, as you will function as the custodian of sensitive and important documents and assets. As an example, only the cashier and manager are authorized to have access to the bank vault.

Relationship Management

To support branch operations, the cashier should be proficient in dealing with customers. It is crucial that you are also able to handle complaints and requests from customers and assist them in resolving issues. By addressing customer needs, this will improve the reputation of the bank as well as customer perception of the bank's services.

Day-to-day Activities

Supervises and reviews cash transactions

Works with teller and manager to enforce control over cash-based transactions that involve teller and vault cash balances.

Enforces security protocols

As an additional layer of security, the cashier acts as second in-command / alternative to the branch manager over transactions that require authorization from management.

Provide excellent customer service

Supports branch head and marketing assistant to address customer concerns and attempts to resolve problems, complaints, and other issues raised by clients.

Qualifications/Experience

· Clerical, bookkeeping, and administrative cash handling experience

· Customer-focused and results-oriented

· Good communication and negotiating skills

· Experience in banking and finance

· Preferably with 2 to 5 years of teller/cashier experience in banking and finance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php18,616.00 per month
