Responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and maintaining payroll records to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time. This role involves handling employee data, verifying timekeeping information, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and assisting with payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of salary payments.
- Maintain employee payroll records including timekeeping, attendance, overtime, deductions, and benefits.
- Verify accuracy of timesheets and resolve discrepancies with HR or department heads.
- Calculate wages, tax withholdings, government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and other deductions.
- Prepare and file statutory reports and ensure compliance with labor laws and government regulations.
- Handle payroll adjustments, final pay computations, and related documentation.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, and payroll issues.
- Generate payroll reports for management review.
- Assist HR and Finance in audits, year-end reporting, and reconciliations.
- Maintain confidentiality and data privacy of payroll records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of payroll or accounting experience (fresh graduates with internship experience may also apply).
- Familiarity with payroll systems/software and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of government-mandated benefits and tax regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
