Job Summary:

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable power distribution. This includes inspecting electrical components, identifying hazards or defects, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and repair or replace defective components.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical diagrams, and building plans.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with local and national electrical codes.
  • Perform regular maintenance and preventive inspections to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other team members on electrical-related projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
  • Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to reduce risks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training in electrical work preferred.
  • With NC II or equivalent certification (if applicable).
  • Proven experience as an electrician (usually 1–3 years).
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety.
