The
Property and Asset Engineer
is responsible for managing, maintaining, and safeguarding the company's physical assets, including buildings, facilities, construction equipment, and utilities. The role ensures that all company-owned properties and assets are properly maintained, documented, and utilized efficiently to support construction operations and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Property and Facilities Management

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of company-owned buildings, offices, and project facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors or service providers for facility-related works (e.g., electrical, plumbing, civil repairs, HVAC).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to property management.

2. Asset Management and Inventory Control

  • Maintain an updated asset registry and tracking system for all company equipment, tools, and properties.
  • Monitor asset utilization and recommend measures for optimization or disposal of underutilized assets.
  • Assist in the tagging, verification, and periodic audit of physical assets.
  • Support procurement in evaluating equipment condition and lifecycle for repair or replacement planning.

3. Preventive Maintenance and Engineering Support

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with site engineers or mechanics for asset-related maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support in evaluating property and asset conditions during project mobilization or demobilization.

4. Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare reports on asset condition, property maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation for property ownership, warranties, maintenance logs, and asset histories.
  • Ensure all property and asset-related records comply with ISO 9001 documentation and control requirements.

5. Coordination and Support

  • Collaborate with HR/Admin, Procurement, and Project Teams for asset allocation and logistics.
  • Support internal and external audits related to asset and property management.
  • Participate in planning for office relocations, warehouse layout, and property expansion.
