Nurse Aide

DUTIES:

• Assists in completing the annual nursing assessment of employees and students and assists the school physician during physical examinations.
• Acts as liaison to students in communicating with them their health status.
• Assists the School Nurse in providing first aid and maintains the well-being of students by administering medications and treatment as prescribed by the school physician.
• Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the Health Services Office.
• Ensures that the Health Services has enough supply of medication and first aid.
• Safe keeps the medical health record of students and employees.
• Promotes and assists in the control of communicable diseases.
• Records immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data.
• Provides assessments, plans, interventions, evaluations, management, and referral for appropriate medical care of students and employees with acute/chronic health conditions and in emergency situations.
• Act as emergency medical team during school events.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as may deem necessary by the immediate superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or any related course.

Work Experience/s:

• No work experience required.

Special Qualities/Skills Required:

• Can provide emergency first aid;
• Have good listening skills;
• Should possess knowledge of an array of medical conditions and treatments to ensure that he/she can properly determine what illness a student/employee is likely suffering.

Job Type: Full-time
