Qualifications


• Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.


• With a minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, project management, or service transition.


• Advanced knowledge of the software development life cycle.


• Advanced knowledge in ITIL.


• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.


• Good written and verbal communication skills as a must.


• General PC knowledge, including MS Office.

Good to Have:


• ITIL certification is a nice-to-have skill.


• Nice to have experience with deploying packaged applications.


• Experience in banking applications or systems.

Technical Skills:


• The Release Manager owns the release management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.

Job Description

  • Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
  • Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and are supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build and test environments.
  • Build the release calendar by working closely with project managers of different portfolios across IT and centralizing a view of all releases.
  • Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no go reviews.
  • Produce deployment, run books, and implementation plans.
  • Participate in change control board meetings to discuss release scope and roadblocks.
