Job Summary:
The Deputy Head Mixologist supports overseeing daily bar operations, maintaining high service standards, and leading the bar team. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring cleanliness, and helping deliver excellent guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team during service to ensure smooth operations and consistent drink quality.
- Trains new bartenders on drink preparation, bar procedures, and service standards.
- Monitor and maintain bar inventory; support ordering and stock rotation.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, well-organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally when needed.
- Oversee proper cash handling and reporting procedures.
- Develops drink specials and bar promotions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Consistency and quality of drinks served.
- Team performance and efficiency during service.
- Inventory accuracy and cost control.
- Guest satisfaction and service ratings.
- Compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
Skills and Competencies Required:
- At least 2–3 years of bartending experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, spirits, and bar operations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage time and lead a team under pressure.
- Organized, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
