A.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Develop and execute mechanical validation test plans based on product specifications, use cases, and applicable industry standards.

·       Lead efforts to repackage and redesign product housings to reflect the company's design language, ensuring mechanical performance and manufacturability are not compromised.

·       Conduct environmental and mechanical testing including thermal cycling, vibration, drop, impact, salt spray, and IP (Ingress Protection) rating tests.

·       Analyze test results, perform failure investigations, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams (design, quality, manufacturing).

·       Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR) initiatives throughout the product development process.

·       Prepare clear and detailed validation reports, including risk assessments and improvement recommendations.

·       Collaborate with external labs to perform regulatory and certification testing (UL, CE, IP, etc.).

B.   SPECIFICATIONS

I Educational Background:

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

II Experience:

·       Minimum of five (5) years of hands on experience in product validation and/or mechanical design engineering.

III Qualifications:

·       Proven experience with enclosure or housing design, ideally for electrical or electro-mechanical products.

·       Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks) and simulation/analysis tools for structural or thermal performance.

·       Hands-on experience with environmental and mechanical testing equipment and procedures.

·       Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, UL, MIL-STD, ASTM, IP, NEMA, etc.).

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

·       Experience with root cause analysis tools such as FMEA.

·       Excellent cross-functional communication and team collaboration skills.

·       Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier audits, testing, or certification coordination.

·       Ability to manage multiple validation projects with minimal supervision.

·       Familiarity with validation in regulated environments (e.g., automotive, industrial, medical) is a plus.

·       Experience with EV chargers, power conversion systems, or embedded software integration is a plus.
