Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Staff with hands-on experience in PEZA compliance to support our finance and accounting operations. The role involves general accounting functions, tax and regulatory compliance, accounts payable and receivable management, and inventory-related accounting for machinery trading and distribution. CPA license is not required, but practical experience in PEZA-regulated companies is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Accounting

  • Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
  • Perform inventory and cost accounting related to machinery trading and distribution.
  • Manage payment transactions and banking-related activities.

2. PEZA & Tax Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with PEZA regulations, including preparation and submission of required reports and documentation.
  • Prepare and file BIR tax returns (VAT, withholding tax, income tax, etc.).
  • Handle BIR-related requirements, filings, and audits as needed.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and customer collections accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Track cash flow and banking transactions to ensure proper fund management.

4. Coordination & Inventory Management

  • Collaborate closely with sales, purchasing, and operations teams.
  • Assist in inventory monitoring and reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in a PEZA company is required.
  • Non-CPA candidates are welcome.
  • Experience in general accounting, AP/AR, taxation, and inventory accounting.
  • Knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
