The Dispatcher – Kitchen Operations oversees and manages the smooth flow of customer orders from the kitchen to either delivery or pickup. This role ensures that orders are prepared correctly, packed properly, and dispatched on time. The dispatcher coordinates closely with kitchen staff, delivery riders, and third-party partners to support efficient operations and high-quality customer service. The position also includes handling order records, tracking inventory movement, and making sure company standards are consistently followed.

Primary Duties

  • Accurately record all sales transactions using the kitchen's POS system.
  • Ensure every customer order is issued an official receipt.
  • Monitor product availability by updating inventory in Alfred and other relevant systems or devices.
  • Assist with basic food preparation when necessary.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks to support daily kitchen operations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Line Cooks and Stockmen to confirm stock levels and item availability.
  • Maintain a fully operational workstation, ensuring computers, tablets, printers, and internet connections are functioning properly.
  • Organize, secure, and store receipts while keeping the workspace clean and orderly.
  • Support order dispatching, particularly for Mart deliveries.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with CQSMA standards: Cleanliness, Quality, Service, Maintenance, and Atmosphere.
  • Carry out other related tasks as assigned by management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy and completeness of issued receipts.
  • Prompt reporting of cancelled or voided transactions.
  • Improved order processing speed through effective coordination.
  • Increased sales and transaction volume driven by efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cashier in a fast-food or quick-service environment.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems.
  • Familiarity with dispatch operations, receipt management, and order processing tools.
  • Willingness to work on shifting schedules, six days per week.
