Role Description

McCoy is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer (Lead Role) to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in leading ABAP development across SAP modules, managing a team of developers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable technical solutions across ECC, S/4HANA, and Cloud environments.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Pasig City, with flexibility for remote work.

Technical Leadership & Development Oversight

• Lead ABAP development efforts across SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP, etc.)
• Oversee technical design, coding, unit testing, and deployment of ABAP developments
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and compliance with SAP best practices
• Drive Object-Oriented ABAP, Clean Core Principles, and modern S/4HANA practices
• Design and implement strategic technical solutions to improve and optimize business processes

Team Management & Mentorship

• Lead and mentor a team of Junior to Mid-level ABAP Developers (minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience required)
• Provide technical guidance, performance feedback, and career support
• Manage workload, task assignments, and capacity planning to meet project goals

Project Delivery & Client Engagement

• Collaborate with Business and Functional Consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Participate in blueprinting, solution design, and delivery sessions
• Ensure complete documentation (Technical Specs, Unit Test Cases, Peer Review Logs, etc.)
• Monitor development progress to meet timelines and budget requirements

Pre-Sales & Innovation

• Partner with sales and solution teams for RFPs/RFIs and proposal development
• Contribute to technical solution decks, effort estimations, and client presentations

• Evaluate and propose innovative SAP solutions leveraging:

• CDS Views, AMDP, RAP (Restful ABAP Programming)

• Fiori/UI5 integration and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

Quality Assurance & Governance

• Establish ABAP development standards, naming conventions, and reusable libraries
• Ensure compliance with performance, security, and audit requirements
• Drive initiatives for code optimization, reuse, and simplification

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in SAP Development (ECC and S/4HANA) with at least 4 full-cycle implementations
• 2+ years of experience leading an ABAP development team
• Expertise in ABAP on S/4HANA, including AMDP, CDS Views, BOPF, OData, and SAP Gateway Services
• Strong experience with enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Spots), module pool programming, and data migration (BDC, BAPI, IDOC, LTMC)
• Skilled in Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAP Scripts, and ALV/classical/interactives report programming
• Experience in REST-based services, API design, and code optimization tools (Code Inspector, ATC, Runtime Analysis)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced global delivery environment

Nice to Have:

• SAP Fiori Extensibility and SAPUI5 development experience
• BRF+ / Output Management configuration
• Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Business AI
