We're looking for an experienced and service-driven Phlebotomy Team Leader to oversee our phlebotomy operations across Maxicare Primary Care Clinics. This role ensures safe, accurate, and patient-centered specimen collection while leading a team of phlebotomists toward excellence in quality, efficiency, and compliance. What You'll Do

o Lead daily phlebotomy operations across assigned clinics—managing schedules, staff deployment, and service flow.

o Supervise and mentor phlebotomy staff, ensuring high performance, proper techniques, and adherence to KPIs (first-attempt success rate, TAT, specimen quality).

o Ensure full compliance with DOH, ISO 15189, JCI, biosafety, and internal laboratory standards.

o Drive quality and performance, including coaching, competency checks, addressing service issues, and supporting root-cause investigations. o Oversee inventory and equipment readiness, ensuring supplies, consumables, and phlebotomy tools are complete, calibrated, and safe.

o Maintain accurate documentation and reports—training logs, incident reports, audit results, and operational updates.

o Collaborate with nursing, outpatient services, and clinic operations to ensure smooth, patient-centered specimen collection.

Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Nursing
  • PRC-licensed Medical Technologist or relevant certification preferred Experience / Knowledge:
  • 3–5 years' experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory settings
  • 1–2 years' experience in a supervisory, team lead, or administrative role
  • Training in Leadership, Phlebotomy Training, ISO 15189/Quality Systems, or Healthcare Management

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong leadership, people management, and collaborative abilities
  • Deep knowledge of safe and accurate specimen-collection standards
  • Excellent communication and team-coordination skills
  • High attention to detail, organized, and able to manage pressures in fast-paced settings
  • Proficient in documentation and Microsoft Office tools
