Phlebotomy Trainer

As a cornerstone of our training team, the Phlebotomy Training Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe, skilled, and compassionate blood collection across our healthcare network. You'll lead hands-on training for junior Medical Technologists and Phlebotomists, uphold best practices in specimen collection, and help foster a culture of precision and patient-centered care.

What You'll Do

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve training programs for phlebotomy practices
• Facilitate onboarding and skills calibration for new and existing Phlebotomist
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback to ensure competency and consistency
• Monitor adherence to infection control, biosafety, and quality assurance standards
• Assist in troubleshooting difficult phlebotomy cases and serve as clinical support when needed
• Maintain accurate training logs, evaluation reports, and continuous improvement plans
• Collaborate with Laboratory and Clinic Heads to align training programs with operational goals

Qualifications

Education:

• Preferred: Graduate of BS Medical Technology with PRC license (RMT)

Experience/Knowledge:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical phlebotomy and laboratory operations
• Knowledge of biosafety, blood collection protocols, and sample handling procedures
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, or teaching junior staff preferred
• Exposure to multi-site clinic operations is an advantage
• Tech-savvy with good documentation habits
• Effective communicator in both clinical and instructional settings
• Organized and capable of managing training schedules, checklists, and assessments
