Project Manager

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager will be responsible ensures all technical, operational, and support elements are in place for a smooth transition from project delivery to live operations, with zero disruption to customers or business processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service Introduction & Transition Planning

• Develop and own the Service Introduction Plan, including service acceptance criteria, cutover readiness, and early-life support approach.
• Coordinate readiness across technology, operations, and business teams (including infrastructure, support, monitoring, service desk, and vendor teams).
• Ensure all supporting documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and escalation paths are prepared and approved.
• Oversee the transition of ownership from the project team to BAU operations.
• Define service models and support structures for new services and features.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of CMDB entries for new services/components.

2. Release & Deployment Readiness

• Manage the IT release readiness checklist, confirming all pre-production and go-live prerequisites (testing, data migration, DR, monitoring, security, etc.) are met.
• Chair go-live readiness reviews, ensuring sign-offs from all key stakeholders.
• Coordinate with change management and CAB processes for production deployment approvals.
• Align release schedules with business readiness; define change approval and rollback procedures.

3. Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management

• Identify operational and service risks; drive mitigation plans.
• Track dependencies between delivery teams, vendors, and infrastructure operations.
• Escalate and resolve blockers impacting go-live readiness.

4. Early Life Support (ELS) & Handover

• Define and manage Early Life Support period post go-live.
• Oversee the tracking of incidents and stabilization metrics.
• Ensure formal service acceptance sign-off from operational owners.
• Lead training for support teams on new services.

5. Stakeholder & Governance

• Provide regular readiness reporting to program leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional working groups to monitor readiness progress.
• Act as the primary interface between delivery and operations teams.

6. Service Management & Tooling

• Ensure effective use of ServiceNow for asset, incident, problem, and change management.
• Oversee integration with Jira for software change planning and tracking.
• Define KPIs and service health metrics; configure monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Set up alerting and incident response workflows.

7. Disaster Recovery & Access Management

• Define and document RTO/RPO for critical systems; map dependencies using CMDB.
• Develop and test DR procedures and backup strategies; integrate with change management.
• Develop and oversee access management procedures for all applications.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• 8-10 years of IT project management experience with at least 3 years in service introduction or release management.
• Proven delivery of large-scale enterprise go-lives (ideally in insurance, financial services, or healthcare).
• Strong understanding of ITIL Service Transition, change management, and release governance.
• Experience managing multi-vendor environments and offshore/nearshore delivery models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to produce structured readiness documentation and manage executive-level reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (asset management, CMDB, incident/problem/change management).
• Familiarity with Jira for software change planning.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and DR testing.

Desirable:

• ITIL v4 Foundation or Practitioner certification.
• PMP / PRINCE2 certification.
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps delivery and CI/CD release management.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or hybrid production environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, IBM i).
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries.
• Prior involvement in major transformation or modernization programs.
