Product Manager

Overview

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of loan products, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. This role manages the full product lifecycle—from strategy, requirement definition, development, testing, and launch—while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Risk, Tech, Underwriting, Compliance, Digital, and external vendors. The ideal candidate combines a strategic mindset with hands-on execution to deliver innovative, compliant, and market-competitive lending solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Planning

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for loan products in alignment with business goals.
• Conduct product and market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights gathering to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
• Build business cases, high-level use cases, and process flows to support product initiatives.
• Establish pricing models and go-to-market plans to drive customer adoption and profitability.

Requirement Management & Solutioning

• Author clear, structured, and actionable Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for loan-related initiatives.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions with Risk, Tech, Underwriting (UW), Digital, and external vendors.
• Translate business goals into functional requirements, solution flows, and development-ready features.
• Align product development with compliance, risk guidelines, and business expectations.

Execution & Delivery

• Drive the execution of product lifecycle processes including planning, development, UAT, release, and launch.
• Manage the end-to-end UAT lifecycle: scenario creation, coordination with testing teams, issue resolution, and stakeholder sign-offs.
• Support the development team during build and testing phases to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Push tested features and updates to production, ensuring smooth release management.
• Prepare and deliver product manuals, process documentation, and stakeholder training.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Collaborate with data analytics teams to design, implement, and optimize sales dashboards and KPIs.
• Derive actionable insights from data to refine product performance and improve customer engagement.
• Track and report product performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

• Coordinate across multiple projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality benchmarks are consistently met.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, consensus-building, and alignment on requirements, priorities, and solutions.
• Maintain strong collaboration with Compliance, Risk, and Audit to ensure products meet regulatory and internal governance standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree required
• Experience:
  3-8 years of relevant experience in product management, preferably within a financial institution, fintech, or related industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in product lifecycle management—from ideation, business case development, and build, to launch and optimization.
• Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and customer engagement plans.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, business case preparation, and performance tracking.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills with proven stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Functional knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivery and problem-solving
