Streaming Engineer (WFH)

Job Description:

  • Architect and build a new streaming platform (live ingestion → transcoding → playback).
  • Implement low-latency protocols (WebRTC, CMAF, or similar) for interactive video.
  • Integrate with CDN/edge delivery solutions (AWS IVS, Cloudflare Stream, or custom).
  • Develop APIs for stream management, user auth, and monetization.
  • Work with Product Team to support features like chat, betting overlays, and moderation tools.
  • Ensure platform is scalable, cost-efficient, and compliant with global regulations.
  • Optimize video quality (adaptive bitrate streaming, encoding efficiency).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related.
  • 5+ years of backend/streaming development experience.
  • Proven experience scaling streaming platforms for large audiences.
  • Experience with live sports betting or interactive entertainment platforms is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of WebRTC, HLS/DASH, RTMP, FFmpeg, media servers (Wowza, Janus, Ant Media, etc.).
  • Strong programming skills in , Go, or Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud streaming services (AWS IVS, GCP Media, Cloudflare Stream).
