UK - BOOKKEEPER - must Have UK experience

Join our client's dynamic accounting firm in the UK, supporting an expanding portfolio of clients across various industries. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a hands-on accounting role where you'll handle end-to-end financial processes, collaborate with international teams, and contribute directly to the firm's growth.

You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, and ensuring smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment that values both precision and problem-solving.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with suppliers and customers via email regarding payments, invoices, and account queries
  • Use accounting and non-accounting software (including Xero and spreadsheets) for day-to-day finance operations
  • Perform high-volume bank reconciliations and manage intercompany account reconciliations
  • Prepare and process bill payment runs
  • Create and update weekly cash flow forecasts for management review
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, including VAT returns and monthly reconciliations
  • Calculate deferred revenue and other adjusting entries as part of month-end procedures
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and management reports
  • Analyze multi-company transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting across entities
  • Collaborate with the UK finance team to meet deadlines and maintain smooth month-end and year-end closing processes

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (UK experience highly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end reporting processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency using Xero (certification preferred)
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to UK VAT, FRS 102, or multi-company accounting is an advantage

Location:

Global One Building, Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City

Schedule:

UK Shift (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM MNL), Monday to Friday

Work Arrangement:

Temporary WFH (WFH most of the time, a few onsite days only when needed, no weekly requirement to be onsite)
