Position Summary:
A Mortgage Consultant is responsible for managing the day-to-day processing of the following:
- Credit Assessments
- Settlements
- Application Packaging
- Data Entry –CRM/System
- Document follow-ups
- Record management in the system
- Assisting the other areas in the operations department.
Responsibilities and Tasks:

Document Management
: Collect, review and organize client documents ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete.

Servicing Calculators:
Use BC/internal servicing calculators to assess borrowing capacity and ensure applications meet lending affordability requirements.

Application Preparation:
Prepare loan applications package for the lenders credit team to review.
·
Compliance Checks:
Ensure all applications meet regulatory and compliance standards, following specific requirements and policies.

Follow-Ups:
Monitor the progress of submitted applications, follow up with credit assessment team, solicitors/conveyancers, settlement team and provide updates to the brokers.

Problem Solving
: Identify and resolve an issues or missing information in applications to avoid delays in processing.
·
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate records in the system and assist lending specialists with administrative tasks related to loan processing.
Critical Competencies:
· At least 2-3 years as an Australian Mortgage Consultant with Finance or Mortgage CRM experience
· Confident and clear communicator, able to demonstrate experience of engaging conversation and building relationships with all stakeholders (Lending Specialists, Clients, BDMs, Solicitors) at the highest level.
· Strong written and oral communication skills including presentation skills
· Excellent analytical skills
· Ability to provide insight based on analysis
· Results driven
· Good planning, organizing and problem-solving skills
· Good attention to details
· Knowledge sharing mentality
· A great wok ethic and be a go getter and self-starter
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
