ETL & Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build ETL workflows using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Apache Nifi.
  • Develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and loading between on-prem and cloud platforms.
  • Manage data across Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse, and LocalNAS/MinIO environments.
  • Write and optimize SQL and PySpark scripts for performance and data integrity.
  • Build and maintain backend APIs and services using .NET Core (C#).
  • Perform API testing using POSTMAN.
  • Integrate and manage data across relational and cloud databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
  • Collaborate with the IT Lead and cross-functional teams for project implementation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL and backend processes.
  • Ensure timely support and delivery of technical solutions under the ILOS Project.

Must Have (Non-Negotiable):

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Proven ETL development experience (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Apache Nifi).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Services (Blob, Synapse, Data Factory).
  • Proficiency in SQL and PySpark for data processing.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MSSQL Server, and Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
  • Proficiency in .NET Core (C#) for backend API development.
  • Basic experience with API testing (POSTMAN).
  • Familiarity with object storage systems (Azure Blob, MinIO, LocalNAS).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for ETL and .NET solutions.
  • Experience with data governance, cataloging, and metadata management.
