We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant plays a critical part in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations ensuring timely and reliable financial data for decision-making.

General Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments as part of the monthly and year-end closing process.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Participate in the budgeting process and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation efforts within the Finance team

Functional Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Highly skilled in MS Office applications
  • Prior experience in real estate industry, is a plus.
