Job Summary:
BE Resorts Mactan is seeking a meticulous and experienced Income Auditor to join our Finance Team. This role is based at the resort and is responsible for verifying all revenue transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining timely and compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring financial integrity within the hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily audits of all revenue transactions across resort operations (e.g., Front Office, Food & Beverage, Spa).
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of all transactions and identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Reconcile daily revenue reports with system-generated reports and the general ledger.
- Prepare and distribute daily revenue summaries and reports to resort management and Head Office as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures related to revenue recognition and cash handling.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements by providing accurate revenue data and supporting schedules.
- Support the year-end audit process through accurate documentation and timely responses to audit queries.
- Recommend and help implement internal control improvements to enhance the revenue audit process.
- Coordinate with operational departments to ensure proper revenue recording and documentation.
- Perform other finance-related duties as may be assigned to support the resort's accounting and finance functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in income auditing, accounting, or a similar role; experience in the hotel or resort industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of revenue accounting principles and hotel systems (e.g., POS, PMS, or hospitality ERP platforms).
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
- Ability to work independently while meeting daily deadlines in a fast-paced resort environment.
