QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, taxation, or finance

  • Proven hands-on experience in BIR tax compliance, including:

  • Income tax, VAT, Percentage Tax

  • Withholding taxes (EWT, compensation, final tax)
  • Preparation and filing of BIR forms and alphalists
  • Experience in BIR audits, assessments, or tax reconciliations is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR rules, and regulations
  • Familiarity with BIR eFPS/eBIRForms and online filing systems
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (PFRS/IFRS) and internal controls
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret tax regulations and apply them correctly
  • Skilled in tax reconciliation, variance analysis, and documentation
  • Ability to identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with BIR officers, auditors, external accountants, and management
  • Capable of explaining tax and compliance issues to non-finance staff

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Monitor tax deadlines and regulatory updates.
  2. Review tax computations and filings.
  3. Coordinate with accountants, auditors, and tax consultants.
  4. Ensure management awareness of tax risks and obligations.

  5. Tax Filing and Payment Compliance

  6. File monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns on time.

  7. Pay correct tax amounts and avoid underpayment.
  8. Reconcile tax returns with accounting records.
  9. VAT compliance
  10. Books of account and Record Keeping
  11. Alphalist and information returns
