Nurse Aide

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assists patients during feeding

· Bathes and assists patients with their personal hygiene

· Transports patients to treatment/ diagnostic units using wheelchairs or stretchers

· Shaves patients prior to surgery

· Assists staff nurses in rendering care to patients

· Provides specimen containers and sends urine, stool and sputum specimens to the laboratory

· Answers patient's calls and deliver message

· Accompanies patients upon discharge through wheelchairs or stretchers

· Does errands to laboratory, pharmacy, and CSR

· Performs post- mortem care

· Drapes patients for examination and treatment, remains with patient, performing such duties as holding instruments

· Takes and records vital signs and reports all unusual findings/ conditions or reactions to charge nurse

· Tidies patient's rooms, changes bed linen, runs errands, direct visitors and answers telephones

· Collects records, reports and requisitions and delivers them to authorized personnel

· Responsible for storage, collection and bagging of linen

· Cleans and prepares treatment trays and other supplies like bed pans and urinals used in the unit

· Removes all used or discontinued equipment from patient's area

· Performs simple treatments like tepid sponge bath, perineal care, enema and application of cold or hot water bags as directed by the staff nurse

· Checks and receives supplies and articles from outgoing nursing aide

· Accounts linen during shift and endorses accordingly to incoming nurse assistant

· Attends meetings, conferences and seminars for personal and professional development

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

· Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing / Licensed midwife/ graduate of care giving or any 1- 2 year healthcare provider course.

· Good physical, moral and mental health

• NC II passer
• Proficient in spoken and written comprehension.

· With OJT in a hospital setting for 2 weeks or more

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php14, Php17,000.00 per month
