Instrument Man

Job Summary:

The Instrument Man is responsible for operating and maintaining surveying instruments to ensure precise measurements for land development and construction activities. Works closely with the Surveyor/Survey Team to gather accurate data for layout, verification, and as-built requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate surveying equipment such as Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and other instruments.
• Assist in setting out points, stakes, boundaries, elevations, and layout references.
• Ensure accuracy of measurements and verify data before submission.
• Conduct equipment checks, calibration, and proper maintenance.
• Record and compile field data, sketches, and survey notes.
• Coordinate with Surveyor, Site Engineers, and field teams for layout requirements.
• Ensure proper handling, safety, and storage of survey instruments.
• Perform as-built verification and assist in preparing survey reports when needed.

Qualifications:

• Preferably with experience in land development or vertical/horizontal construction.
• Knowledgeable in Total Station, GPS, and Auto Level operation.
• Strong understanding of site layout, leveling, and surveying principles.
• Physically fit and willing to work on-site.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have:

• Background in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related course.
• Experience in roadworks, earthworks, or land development projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 20 months

Pay: Php800.00 per day
