Job Description

As a Back End Engineer, you will build new features, improve platform performance, guide junior engineers, and collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. You'll drive technical innovation, take ownership of key features, and ensure a seamless experience for users and vendors.

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM-3:00 PM), Weekends Off

Work Setup: Hybrid (First 2 months Makati), then Fully WFH

The Qualifications We Seek

• 3+ years of industry experience in backend software development
• Proven experience with Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and/or event-driven architecture
• Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript
• Strong background working with AWS services and familiarity with VMs and container technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, testing, security, and compliance
• Customer-centric mindset with a focus on user experience
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to learn, share knowledge, and broaden technical horizons
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Proactive attitude, strong sense of ownership, and ability to work independently

Your Daily Tasks

• Deliver improvements and new features from development to production, seeing real impact with end users
• Share ideas openly within the team and provide direction and mentorship to junior engineers
• Own features and drive meaningful outcomes for both customers and vendors
• Step into leadership roles, such as feature lead, or contribute deep expertise in key technical areas
• Suggest, introduce, and implement team-wide improvements while collaborating with product and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery
