Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and integration of an Advanced Visual Guidance Docking System (AVGDS) at NAIA T1, T2, T3. The successful candidate will ensure all electrical systems are installed to specification, meet aviation safety standards, and integrate seamlessly with airport operations and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Setup

  • Supervise and perform electrical installation of AVGDS equipment including control cabinets, displays, sensors, and data communication lines.

  • Ensure correct cable routing, grounding, and power supply connections according to design drawings and safety codes.
  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and IT teams for proper mounting and integration.

  • Testing & Commissioning

  • Conduct functional and electrical testing of installed systems.

  • Verify system performance against manufacturer and aviation authority specifications.
  • Support system calibration and final handover to airport operations.

  • Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all work adheres to ICAO, FAA, EASA, and local electrical standards.

  • Prepare as-built drawings, test reports, and installation records.
  • Maintain documentation for electrical schematics, load calculations, and grounding plans.

  • Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with the OEM, contractors, and airport authorities to align schedules and technical requirements.

  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during installation and integration phases.
  • Participate in project meetings and safety briefings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical installation or commissioning, preferably in airport systems, airfield lighting, or visual docking systems.

  • Familiarity with low-voltage control systems, PLCs, and data communication protocols (Ethernet, RS-485, fiber optics).
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent license preferred.
  • Knowledge of Standards: IEC, NEC, ICAO Annex 14, and airport safety regulations.
