Electrical Engineer in Bataan – Solar Farm

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer
  • At least one (1) year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a solar power plant
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of any type of power plant
  • BOSH or COSH training certificate is a plus
  • PCO training certificate is a plus
  • Has good leadership skills
  • Knowledgeable on planning and budgeting
  • Proficient in operations and maintenance management of power plants
  • Strong technical knowledge in PV solar technologies, electrical standards, and related engineering disciplines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Computer literate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights during emergency responses
  • Willing to be assigned in Orion, Bataan

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily operations and performance of the PV solar power plant
  • Monitor system diagnostics, performance data, and metrics to ensure operational efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to minimize downtime and generation losses
  • Manage budgeting, monitor operational expenses, and ensure cost efficiency
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on operational issues and disruptions
  • Lead emergency response and troubleshooting, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Mentor and assign responsibilities to plant personnel
  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental standards
  • Review contractor reports and billings for accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain valid permits and regulatory compliance for plant operations
  • Prepare and submit regular performance reports to senior management and affiliated groups
  • Submit required regulatory reports to agencies such as the DOE and DENR
  • Maintain detailed documentation of operations, maintenance activities, and incidents
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership
