Position: Accounting Staff – JBC Bookshop (Full-Time)

Location: Quezon City

Salary Range: ₱20,000 – ₱22,000/month

Schedule: Monday to Saturday

JBC Bookshop is a student-centered bookstore and e-commerce retailer serving learners nationwide through Shopee, Lazada, Facebook, TikTok, and our physical store in Sampaloc. We are passionate about empowering students and educators with quality learning materials.

Your Role

As our Accounting Staff, you will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with government requirements, and supporting administrative tasks to keep the business running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • QuickBooks Management: Maintain accurate and timely financial records in QuickBooks
  • Bookkeeping: Record online & in-store sales, purchases, receipts, and disbursements
  • AP/AR: Process supplier invoices/payments; issue & reconcile customer invoices
  • Reconciliation: Match bank statements, marketplace payouts, and payment gateway reports
  • Tax & Reporting: Assist with VAT, withholding-tax filings, and monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Business Permits & Compliance: Prepare and process business permit renewals; ensure compliance with BIR, LGU, and other regulatory bodies
  • Administrative Support: Handle general admin tasks as assigned to support smooth operations
  • Controls & Audit: Maintain audit trails; support external audits

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Experience: 1–2 years in bookkeeping or staff accounting (retail/e-commerce experience preferred)
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar; advanced Excel skills
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills in English & Tagalog; meticulous, organized, team-oriented, and passionate about education
