Production Team Leader

JOB SUMMARY:

Assumes the responsibility of guiding the team members with regards to the procedural workflow in the manufacture of connector products. Ensure orderliness in the production area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designate operators on per stamping machine process.

· Prepares and checks the internal packing list and give copy to shipping section.

· Responsible for the requisition, monitoring and issuance of production supplies. Ensure that they are readily available before the start of stamping production process.

· Checks the correctness of data entry and posting to manufacturing check sheets base on ELSA requirements.

· Check and monitor stocks at the oil room. Must prepare the requisition depend on the required stocks or inventory level.

· Prepares and arranges overtime and working shift schedule. Must regularly check the group's attendance.

· Communicates with the Production Control Section the daily measurement monitoring status of materials in the turntable

· Assigns in-charge of physical inventory of material at the turntable, finished goods and Work-In-Process at any given time.

· Responsible to schedule and assign employee in cleaning the machine.

· Conducts training to newly hired employees with regards to the stamping process and work instructions.

· Responsible to stop the process whenever there is a quality problem and other criteria that might fall to non-conformance in customer requirements and ensures that the affected batch must be contained and shipment to the customer prevented.

· Serves as file custodian of production related documents.

· Perform other duties as maybe assigned by the superior.

Subordinates

· Oversees and directs staff in performing production process and meets the daily output requirements.

· Supervises them in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

· Establishes employee's goal and conduct performance reviews.

· Coordinates staff scheduling to include: work assignments/employee training, vacation, breaks and overtime in coordination with Supervisor/Manager.

Management

· Responsible to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.

· Ensures that section's inventory reports are communicated with the supervisor, accomplished accurately and submitted on time.

· Ensures that all confidential information and documents are strictly maintained.

· Ensures that the quality and environmental policy is faithfully followed; 5S and safety procedure especially using of PPE's are strictly practiced.

Communication

· Communicates effectively with other leaders and supervisors.

· Practices and maintain high level of professionalism and business ethics.

· Provides necessary information across organization.

· Schedules and conducts staff and cross-functional meetings and other coordination as may think are necessary.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education and Experience

· Graduate of Engineering course preferably Industrial or equivalent.

· Experienced working to a leadership position in a manufacturing firm.

Competencies and Knowledge

· Must know how to deal with conflicts, diversity and ways of promoting communication and creativity within groups.

· Persistent and having a positive attitude.

· Technically motivated.
