Job Title: Building Administrator (Cadet Engineer)
Reports to: Facilities Manager/Engineering Manager
Department: Facilities/Engineering
Location: Malhacan, Meycauayan City
Job Summary:
The Building Administrator (Cadet Engineer) is responsible for managing and maintaining the facility's buildings, systems, and equipment. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and security systems.
Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment as needed.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
Space Management:
- Manage space allocation and office arrangements to meet the needs of different departments.
Ensure efficient use of space and resources.
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for facility-related services.
Ensure all vendors comply with company policies and safety standards.
Project Support:
- Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Prepare and submit reports on facility operations and maintenance activities.
Support and Training:
- Provide support and training to other staff members on facility-related procedures and equipment operation.
- Assist in onboarding new employees and ensuring they understand facility protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills:
- Technical knowledge of building systems and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in various environments, including office and field settings.
- May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- May require working at heights or in confined spaces.
