Schedule: 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM PH Time

Job Location: Clark Outsourcing - Building 35 Philexcel Business Park, Clark Pampanga

Quick Rundown:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer II (Back-End) to build and maintain a reliable data foundation that drives enterprise-level decision-making. This role involves securing data sources, designing scalable models, and developing robust pipelines for applications, reporting, and advanced analytics. The Data Engineer II will serve as a champion for best practices in data management, modeling, and governance, blending skills in software engineering, stream processing, and data architecture.

What You'll Do:

Strategy & Planning

  • Support long-term strategy for a trustworthy data platform, ensuring alignment with business needs and client objectives.
  • Design analytical models to optimize supply-chain operations (forecasting, demand planning, inventory, pricing).
  • Help establish data governance processes, including metadata accuracy, master data, and data quality tracking.

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Ensure data reliability during enterprise system rollouts (ERP, CRM, SCM, PLM, WMS, etc.).

Operational Management

  • Develop and automate large-scale, high-performance data pipelines (batch, micro-batch, streaming).
  • Design and maintain scalable data models for reporting, BI, and advanced analytics (AI/ML).
  • Implement and support data management tools, methodologies, and standards.
  • Map data sources, movements, and integrations to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with business units and project managers on enterprise-level data projects.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues in system integration and multi-platform environments.
  • Document data platforms, processes, and environments for transparency and reusability.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Data engineering or cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience: 24 years in data engineering, database administration, or software development (Python, Java, or .NET).
  • Hands-on expertise in DataOps, large-scale modeling, and business requirements analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of relational, object, and graph data structures.
  • Familiarity with metadata management, master/reference data governance, and data profiling tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and modern data workflows.
  • Skilled with database platforms (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.) and cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Understanding of microservices, APIs, and container orchestration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Knowledge of data privacy practices and compliance standards.
