Job Summary:

The Safety Officer II plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety policies and procedures. This position is responsible for conducting regular site inspections, identifying potential hazards, assessing and mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to all applicable local and international safety standards. The Safety Officer II also facilitates safety training, investigates incidents and near-misses, and prepares detailed reports with corrective and preventive action plans. Additionally, this role supports emergency preparedness efforts and promotes a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.

2. Enforce health and safety policies in compliance with local regulations.

3. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports with recommendations.

4. Conduct safety inductions and training for employees and contractors.

5. Work with management to develop emergency procedures and safety protocols.

6. Monitor the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

7. Work closely with the engineering team to align safety measures with project design, construction activities, and overall site operations. 

Requirements:

1.Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field

2. PRC licensed is not required

2. Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Safety Officer II

3. Ability to conduct risk assessments and write detailed safety reports

4. Good interpersonal and communication skills

5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
