The Data Analyst / Data Scientist plays a critical role in analyzing complex datasets within the ERP ecosystem to support data-driven decision-making, continuous process improvement, and strategic insights for Navy leadership. This position involves interpreting large volumes of master and transactional data originating from legacy ECC systems and new S/4 HANA environments and producing visualizations and metrics that help evaluate key performance indicators, identify data quality issues, and validate end-to-end (E2E) process outcomes. The analyst will work closely with E2E Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), financial analysts, and governance personnel to align reporting strategies with program objectives.

Serves as a leader in Financial Improvement Coordination, ensuring that groups of professionals are working successfully within the context of complex business environments. Develops business cases, requirements, studies and scope solutions. Identifies gaps and shortcomings in solutions and determines ways forward and/or workarounds to the solutions proposed.

Leads process modeling and translates requirements into design. Leads the formulation and implementation of strategic plans. Coordinates with the client at the SES level and above.

Required SkillsProven experience with data analytics and statistical analysis in large enterprise environments

Strong proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI or Qlik for dashboard development

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas

Competency with SQL for querying and transforming structured datasets

Familiarity with Python or R for statistical modeling, data mining, and predictive analytics

Experience in analyzing financial, procurement, or logistics data from ERP systems

Secret ClearanceBachelor's DegreeDesired SkillsExperience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Navy ERP data initiatives

Familiarity with platforms such as Advana or Jupiter for integrated analytics

Understanding of Navy budgeting, execution, and audit requirements

Knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4 HANA data models

Exposure to data profiling tools and data quality frameworks

Experience presenting findings to executive or military leadership in a clear, concise manner$121,000 - $130,000 a year

Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
