Job Description

ITAccelerate is working with our client, a leader in online commerce, to help build their team of highly intelligent and capable engineers. We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer, who will work with a team of engineers building and maintaining our customer's financial management web application. Based in Cebu City, Philippines, this is a key role within our customer's engineering team, requiring extensive web development experience with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your client-side teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study
  • 3-5 years of backend development in a high paced setting
  • Expert understanding of C/C++, Java, Go, Rust
  • Understanding of SQL, NoSQL,3rd party APIs 
  • Experience building REST API platforms with Java (7+) and Spring 4
  • Passion for writing high quality code and strong ability to test coverage
  • Strong English communication skills – verbal and written testing required
  • Client and ITAccelerate cultural integration required – we like to have fun but work hard
Additional Information

Bonus Qualifications to Set You Apart

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other equivalents
  • Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Emberjs, Angularjs, etc
