Junior Associate

At MJA Management and Consultancy OPC, we develop tailored strategies to help organizations solve real-world challenges. As a Junior Associate, you'll gain hands-on experience in consulting while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of experts.

This is a foundational role for early-career professionals with a passion for research, strategy, and social impact. You'll support analysis, documentation, and project coordination across a range of consulting engagements.

• Conduct background research and assist with data gathering

• Support in preparing reports, slide decks, and briefing materials

• Assist with stakeholder mapping, policy analysis, and literature reviews

• Coordinate with project team members on timelines and task management

• Participate in team meetings, client sessions, and note-taking

• Help prepare proposals and support business development activities

• Learn from and contribute to MJA's knowledge base

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Engineering, Economics, Development Studies, or related field

• Experience: 0–2 years in research, internships, or project support roles

• Must-Have Skills:

  • Skilled in Business English, both written and spoken

  • Proficient in research work and information synthesis

  • Strong presentation-building skills with attention to structure, clarity, and detail

  • Sharp eye for identifying content gaps and inconsistencies

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and

  • Highly driven and motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Organized and able to multitask effectively

• Exposure to public policy, consulting, or development work (internships or coursework)

• Familiarity with basic data visualization or research tools

• Interest in sectors like renewable energy, infrastructure, or governance

• Work Setup: This role can be structured as either:

  • A hybrid arrangement, requiring occasional visits to the office in Ortigas, Metro Manila

  • Or a fully online setup, requiring regular attendance at virtual team meetings, evaluations, and one-on-one calls

• Probation Period: 6 months, with performance reviews at the 1st, 3rd, and 6th month

• Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a short demonstration of relevant skills (e.g., research summary, slide draft, or basic analysis) after the first interview

• Bonuses may be awarded for exceptional performance
