Basic scope of tasks, duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, build, create, integrate, maintain (or modify existing) and support internal security operations tool stack.
  • Microsoft Sentinel administration & operations: configuring and maintaining Sentinel Workspaces, managing data connectors, designing log ingestion pipelines, setting up Analytics rules, hunting queries. Writing KQL queries and logic apps.
  • Support QSIRT core security services and IR related processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues and apply fundamental systems security principles and understanding, skills, expertise, and experience to support the planning, design, development, and implementation of security controls.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of proven hand-on experience in building and maintaining secure software environments or in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar) and 5+ years overall IT working experience with background in system administration.
  • Ability to integrate software and data according to secure software deployment methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel administration & operations
  • Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities (e.g., buffer overflow, mobile code, cross-site scripting, Procedural Language/Structured Query Language [PL/SQL] and injections, race conditions, covert channel, replay, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge in computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies and hands-on experience in logging/SIEM solution such as Sentinel, ELK, or similar data systems.
  • Ability to develop Powershell and Python scripts, integrate data and software using APIs/REST and use parsing implementation (eg. Logstash, Grok, RegExp etc.).
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and dedicated to deliver results.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English language (both written and verbal).
  • Professional qualifications suitable to the role (GCIH, GCED, GSEC, GNFA, GCFA, SSCP, OSCP, Security+ or other security related certifications) and/or proven track of security trainings is a plus.
