JOB SUMMARY: Project Engineer is responsible in managing specific assigned project which include but not limited to scheduling, budget preparation and monitoring, preparation of project specifications, review of proposals, permit acquisition and other related project development tasks to help meet the objectives and goals of the business development.

FUNCTION AND KEY DUTIES:

  • Developing detailed engineering drawings (DEDs) for construction and timelines for water supply projects, including identifying project scope, budgets, and timelines, Gantt charts, S-curves and PERT-CPM Models.
  • Managing project budgets, including tracking project costs and identifying cost savings opportunities.
  • Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that construction work is completed according to plan and meets quality and safety standards.
  • Perform cost estimates and analysis for the projects of Tubig Pilipinas.
  • Proposes and oversees overall project management through the local project engineer of each site to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Evaluate plans, design, and support the management of projects for water supply and septage projects.
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure that construction work is being completed in compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and addressing issues that arise during the construction process, including changes in scope, scheduling, and budgets.
  • Coordinating with other departments, such as engineering, operations, and maintenance, to ensure that water supply projects are integrated with overall water supply operations.
  • May also be asked to perform other engineering tasks related to water supply and sanitation engineering.
  • Leads teams of contractors, vendors, and professionals, and to motivate them to achieve project goals, is critical for success as a Project Construction Engineer.
  • Perform other works as maybe assigned.

QUALIFICATION(S)

  • Bachelor's degree holder in Civil Engineering, or any related field. Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience in project management and construction, particularly in water supply or related fields, is preferred. Construction of water treatment and wastewater treatment is an advantage.
  • Proficient in drawing tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Civil3D, etc. is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, or other project management programs such as Primavera, is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer usage is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and in a team environment.
