Role Description

The Technical Audit Engineer is responsible for planning and conducting independent technical audits across RLC's property portfolio, with primary focus on construction projects at various stages (pre-construction, ongoing, and post-construction). The role ensures that projects and assets are delivered in compliance with approved plans, contracts, company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while safeguarding cost, quality, timeline, and governance objectives.

The role involves identifying technical, operational, financial, and compliance risks; evaluating the effectiveness of construction management and control processes; and recommending practical, value-adding improvements to enhance project delivery, asset performance, and organizational governance

Qualifications

  • Strong technical judgment and analytical skills
  • Effective Written and Communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively
  • High attention to detail with strong business and risk perspective
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear management insights
  • Experience in Auditing processes and compliance evaluations
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field or equivalent technical engineering background
  • Work experience in technical audits or a related role is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction engineering, project management, or technical audit (experience in real estate development preferred).
  • Professional certifications such Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are an advantage
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project controls, quality management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in large-scale, multi-project or nationwide project environments is an advantage.
