HVAC & Kitchen / Laundry Technician

We are hiring for an HVAC & Kitchen & Laundry Technician.

As an HVAC & Kitchen & Laundry Technician, we rely you to:

• Ensure that all HVAC systems, equipment's, and work areas are in proper condition and maintained properly.
• Maintain chiller operations, Cooling towers, Pumps, VSD operation and maintenance.
• Familiar with the location and operation of all the hotel air conditioning and refrigerating equipment.
• Familiar with the electrical power distribution and control for the air condition and kitchen equipment.
• Aware of the damaging properties of Freon, both to the environment and to workers.
• Know the operating parameters of the different types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in the hotel and ensure that same is adhered to.
• Ensure that all Kitchen equipments and work areas, are in good condition and maintained regularly.
• Know and understand the operation of all HVAC & Kitchen & Laundry equipment.
• Attend to breakdowns as directed by immediate supervisor.
• Attend to maintenance of all Kitchen Equipments in the Hotel as instructed.
• Attend to maintenance of all Laundry Equipments in the Hotel as instructed.
• Supervise & assist contractors / suppliers of all HVAC & Kitchen & Laundry Equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance as per schedule. Attend to breakdowns as directed.
• Contribute to solving the day-to-day operating problem of the Engineering Department.
• Ensure complaint and requests are handled with the aim of exceeding guests' expectations.
• Prioritize and complete work orders accurately and timely and keeps a record of all equipment and systems maintenance.
• Request needed spare parts for equipment, general consumable parts and materials for repair and maintenance.
• Show initiative to overcome problems or obstacles to ensure that completion targets are met.
• Show commitment to all tasks, work & project delegated to ensure that completion targets are met.
• Complete work orders as requested by the Repair & Duty Engineer to meet customer requirements.
• Demonstrate flexibility in changing the work schedule considering guest priorities.
• Ensure engineering equipment rooms are checked and cleaned and are in operating order.
• Liaise directly with departments regarding the completion of work orders and prioritize in order for guest satisfaction.
• Participate actively as a member of the hotel ERT in the event of fire or other emergencies.
• Provide technical assistance to contractors, suppliers and other Technicians when required.
• Utilize computer applications to perform the tasks required and for documentation.
• Perform other tasks and duties as directed or assigned by your immediate supervisors

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proper bearing, good health, physically fit, neat & pleasant
• Has at least 8 years experience in the same field.
• Has certificate from Technical College in Mechanics or Electricity or equivalent.
• Demonstrates awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines. In addition, first aid and fire and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrates high quality work, has good communication & problem solving skills, organizational and training abilities
• Highly motivated, goal-oriented and has the aptitude to learn
• Leads by example
• Communicates and writes with fluency in English (and local language)
