The Senior Full Stack Developer reports to the Head of Digital Marketing and Media Performance and works closely with the Digital Marketing, UX/UI, and Technology teams across all Client's websites. The role is responsible for the development, optimisation, and technical ownership of Client's eCommerce platforms (Magento Cloud and Shopify), supporting website performance, scalability, SEO, and conversion.

The scope includes eCommerce development, platform enhancements, website optimisation, new site builds, and the delivery of interactive and innovative digital experiences, including support for platform migrations and ongoing optimisation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Website management of all Client's websites across Magento Cloud and Shopify platforms
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing and UX to develop and implement new features and functionalities across eCommerce sites
• Develop and maintain custom modules and extensions for Magento 2, while supporting the transition away from Magento where required
• Strong, hands-on experience with Shopify, including custom theme development, Liquid, Shopify Admin, APIs, and third-party app development and integrations
• Own and optimise Shopify storefronts post-migration, including performance, scalability, and ongoing enhancements
• Proven experience leading or playing a senior role in eCommerce platform migrations, specifically from Magento to Shopify, including planning, execution, risk management, and post-migration optimisation
• Manage and support key Magento and Shopify integrations (payments, subscriptions, analytics, CRM, ERP, and marketing tools)
• Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise across eCommerce platforms
• Take direction from and work closely with the team and contribute to the internal web development team
• Work closely with UX Design to ensure websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimised for conversion
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing to ensure websites are SEO-friendly, including URL structures, redirects, tracking, and Core Web Vitals, and optimised for online advertising campaigns
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in web development, eCommerce, and AI implementing them where appropriate

Skills and Specifications:

• Strong full-stack development expertise, including Magento Cloud, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, and relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
• Advanced experience with eCommerce platforms, including Shopify and Magento Cloud, with hands-on development, customisation, and optimisation experience
• Proven experience supporting or leading eCommerce platform migrations, ideally from Magento to Shopify, with an understanding of data, SEO, and integration impacts
• Strong experience working with APIs, third-party integrations, and modern frontend frameworks where applicable
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Digital, UX, Marketing, and external partners)
• Strong project and delivery management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, within eCommerce environments, specifically in Magento Cloud and Shopify.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is advantageous
