Accounts Payable Officer

Accounts Payable:

  • Process a large volume of supplier invoices and credits and match invoices against Purchase Orders as goods are received in the warehouse.
  • Receive and process freight and duty invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Make fortnightly and monthly end payment runs to suppliers through our ERP software and banking platforms.
  • Routine reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up on any issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure delegation of authority & company approval policies are followed and unauthorized invoices are forwarded to the responsible team member for payment approval.
  • Complete month end processes including journal processing.
  • Address and respond to employee/creditor enquiries in a timely manner and follow up any outstanding items with personnel responsible.
  • At all times be diligent to ensure fraudulent requests for payments are identified and avoided.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the Accounts Payable process.

Other potential administrative tasks:

  • Processing & reconciling daily banking including credit cards and direct deposits into our ERP software
  • RC month end processes including journal preparation and entry

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the areas listed above and be able to demonstrate the following qualities.

  • 2-3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills. Experience with varying ERP systems (Infor M3 / Microsoft D365 preferred but not essential) and MS Office suites preferred, especially Excel.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work productively when under pressure.
  • Methodical, organized, accurate and pro-active.
  • A team focused positive attitude.
