Key responsibilities

  • Data analysis and testing: Analyze financial statements, test internal controls, and identify potential risks and control deficiencies.
  • Compliance assurance: Ensure the company is compliant with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies by testing and validating practices in the field.
  • Reporting and recommendations: Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit findings, which include identified issues and specific recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Work with various departments and stakeholders to discuss findings, implement recommendations, and foster a culture of risk management and compliance.
  • Follow-up: Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and track progress to ensure recommendations are addressed in a timely manner.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, auditing standards, and internal control systems.
  • Ability to conduct audits in accordance with professional standards, such as the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
  • Experience with various types of audits (financial, operational, compliance).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and testing procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on-site.
