About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in MySQL and Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of mission-critical databases while leading optimization, automation, and migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain MySQL and Oracle database servers and clusters.
  • Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve database issues.
  • Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Manage database security, user access control, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application integration and schema design.
  • Automate routine database tasks and monitoring alerts.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical systems as needed.
  • Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical leadership on database best practices.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in database administration and management.

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of MySQL and Oracle RDBMS architecture, replication, clustering, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and MySQL Workbench.
  • Strong command of SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedure optimization.
  • Experience in data migration, ETL, and automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows Server environments.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills.

Working arrangement:

Full onsite in BGC, Taguig.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php100, Php120,000.00 per month
