Work Schedule

Compressed work schedule (Monday – Friday)

7:00 am – 6:00 pm every Monday –Thursday

7:00 am – 4:00 pm every Friday

What You'll Do

· Budget and forecasting: Participate in budget forecasting, prepare project budgets, and forecast financial needs to meet organizational goals.

· Cost analysis and control: Analyze cost data to identify trends, conduct variance analysis, and develop strategies to control fixed and variable expenses.

· Monitoring and reporting: Track progress against budget objectives, monitor expenditures, and prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management.

· Process and compliance: Implement cost control policies and procedures, ensure accuracy and compliance with company policy and regulations, and conduct audits to verify financial procedures.

· Collaboration: Work with project teams, other departments, and stakeholders to optimize costs and coordinate cost-saving initiatives.

· Supervision: Supervise cost accounting or cost control clerks and storekeepers, provide guidance, and review their work to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures.

· Vendor management: Review and approve vendor invoices and purchase orders, and collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms.

· Inventory control (in specific roles): Monitor inventory levels, conduct physical inventory counts, and manage stock transfers and requisitions.

Essential skills and qualifications

· Proven experience in accounting, often with a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.
